How WECOMM handles information across the website, POS application and retail terminal workflows.

Effective date: September 18, 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how WECOMM collects, uses, stores and protects information when retailers use our website, POS application, retail terminals and related services.

WECOMM is designed for retail operations, including grocery and produce businesses. Some information may be collected by a retailer through a POS terminal during checkout or customer service interactions.

2. Information we collect

We may collect information that a retailer, staff member or customer provides directly, information generated through use of the platform, and technical information needed to operate the service.

  • Retailer account information, such as business name, contact details, store locations and authorized users.
  • Customer information entered into the POS application or terminal, such as a customer name and phone number, when the customer chooses to provide it.
  • Transaction and operational data, such as sales records, product details, inventory changes, purchase orders, discounts, loyalty activity and reports.
  • Device, browser and usage information, such as IP address, approximate location, log data, pages viewed and product interactions.
  • Support communications, demo requests and messages sent through website forms or customer support channels.

3. Customer names and phone numbers collected at POS

Retailers may ask customers for a name, phone number or similar contact detail at checkout, on a POS terminal, or through another retail workflow. Retailers are responsible for collecting this information lawfully, explaining why it is requested, and obtaining any required permission from the customer.

WECOMM processes that information to provide the POS service, support customer lookup, receipts, loyalty, order history, service communication, reporting and other features enabled by the retailer.

4. How we use information

  • Provide, maintain and improve the WECOMM website, POS platform, terminals and related services.
  • Process retail transactions, inventory updates, purchasing workflows, reporting and account administration.
  • Support customer records, loyalty, receipts, service messages and similar store operations configured by the retailer.
  • Respond to demo requests, support questions, billing inquiries and business communications.
  • Monitor platform performance, prevent abuse, protect security and comply with legal obligations.
  • Develop aggregated or de-identified insights that do not identify a specific consumer or retailer customer.

5. How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information only as needed to operate WECOMM, support retailers, comply with law, protect rights and safety, or complete a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition.

Service providers may help with hosting, analytics, payments, communications, support and security. They are expected to process information only for the services they provide to WECOMM.

6. Retailer responsibility

Retailers using WECOMM are responsible for their own relationship with their customers. This includes giving any required privacy notices, obtaining required consent, honoring customer communication preferences, and using customer information only for lawful retail purposes.

7. Data security and retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, enforce agreements and support legitimate business needs. Retailers may request deletion or export of eligible data subject to legal and operational limits.

8. Cookies and website analytics

Our website may use cookies, similar technologies and analytics tools to understand website performance, improve the visitor experience and support marketing measurement. Browser settings may allow visitors to block or delete cookies.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict certain personal information. Retail customers should first contact the retailer that collected their information at the store. WECOMM will support retailers in responding to valid requests where required.

10. International transfers

Information may be processed in locations where WECOMM, retailers or service providers operate. Where required, appropriate safeguards should be used for cross-border data transfers.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date above indicates when it was last updated. Continued use of WECOMM after an update means the updated policy applies.

12. Contact
